A glass making factory had occupied this 1.5 acre town centre site for almost 200 years and the first work completed was the careful demolition and remediation of the site. Works that followed included foundations,floors, drainage, services and external works with additional complications of a 6 metre high retaining wall along the length of two site boundaries. Careful planning throughout this project ensured that disruption to both the local community and traffic flows was kept to a minimum.

The completed project provided 44,000 square feet of both residential and retail floor space.
